Dear Friends,
Could we talk about HRT (hormone replacement therapy) for women? Every day, it seems, you hear about studies warning against the risk of uterine and breast cancer associated with HRT. It seems you get just enough information to make you worry but never enough to help you make an informed decision. I have some very strong views on this matter and I’ll be glad to share them with you. You don’t even have to twist my arm.
You can learn a lot from what the studies don’t tell you. The reports don’t tell you but I will. The hormones used in these studies are either animal based or synthetic hormones.
The animal based hormones are collected from pregnant mares that are catheterized the entire eleven months of their pregnancy and kept in a small stall, barely five feet wide. This medicine is acquired at great expense and suffering from these animals. If you are sensitive to the subtle energies, you know that this suffering doesn’t just stop there and magically turn into something that is beneficial for you. No, it is passed on to you, the user, not to mention all the other hormones present that we may or may not need. The truth is, we just don’t know.
The synthetic hormones are petroleum based which make it difficult for your lymphatic system to dispel from your body. So that which remains in your system is stored in your fat cells as a toxin.
It is not my wish to strike fear and loathing in your hearts but rather to shed light on this topic. I am not against HRT because there is a very viable alternative to these animal and petroleum-based hormones and they are…plant-based hormones (phyto-hormones). If you choose HRT ask your doctor if the prescription you are receiving is animal, synthetic or plant based and let it be known that you are only interested in a plant based product.
When I asked my doctor this question he told me my prescription was plant based. He either lied or didn’t have the integrity to say he didn’t know but he would look into it, because when I did the research I found out it was synthetic hormones. That’s when I decided to make my own herbal tincture, “Wise Woman’s Way” on the “Products” page of my website. It is made using phytohormones, from whole herbs such as Chaste Berries, Damiana, Hops and Dong Quai to name a few.
I hope this has taken some of the fear out of HRT. For those of you making this choice, I hope this knowledge will assist you in making an enlightened decision along your path to good health and vitality.
Love and Light, Lori
